Wooden Toys & Our Younger Years

Its weird recently I have been surfing the net and seeing more eco friendly stuff which is great because gosh knows with all the pollution in the world and all we need some give back time. Anyways I've noticed more sites doing wooden toys as a alternative to some of the other plastic toys out there that just don't last as long or hold up as long as the wooden ones do. I love this idea cause I remember back when i was a kid we used to have all kinds of wooden blocks and other wooden toys to play with that were just as fun as any other toy you could think of, and still had hours of fun with them. I think now days too many kids depend on toys doing something like talk, or walk, or move but what happen to the good old days I remember I used to love playing with match box cards and wooden toys like blocks and such plus legos of course. I used to have all kinds of colors of wooden blocks and even had a cute little wood dog that was on wheels and when you walked him down the hall he barked it was freaking awesome, it was my favorite toy in the world and yet it was made out of wood yet need no batteries. I love wood toys myself so much that I am glad there making a huge comeback this generation needs to see what was nice about not having to worry about batteries dying in some toy they just got or, the controls breaking and now it doesn't work anymore. I hope that in the next couple years parents wising up and wooden toys are in each household in would be the greatest change especially those with real young children.
