About Lavender, Jewelry Designer of Jewelry of Lav (a.k.a Beads of Lav)

Lavender has always enjoyed creating and crafting. From as young as 6 years of age, she would draw and sketch anything and everything she sees. However, as she grows up, she loves to draw the beautiful human face. Even up to today, she still loves to draw faces whenever time permits.

Until recent years (before discovering her passion for creating handmade jewelry), Lavender has had her hands in a few other crafts and hobbies like cross stitching, handcrafting teddy bears, card making etc. Jewelry making has been God’s gift to her. It came appropriately at a time, when she has to remain at home to look after her young children.

In year 2005, Lavender started a blog at Beads of Lav to showcase her handmade jewelry hobby. Within 3 years, Beads of Lav grew and became popular with many from afar and near. In year 2009, a new site, Jewelry of Lav was born to better reflect the handmade jewelry sold and to handle sales more effectively.

Jewelry of Lav is synonymous with Lovely, Angelic, Versatile handmade jewelry for fashionistas. Inspired by her children, Lavender’s works often reflects childhood innocence and fairytale like sweetness. Beyond this, her inspirations also come from God’s lovely creations - the beautiful and amazing nature and things she sees in cosmopolitan Singapore. Hence, it’s not surprising to see her unique handmade jewelry designs mirroring different stylish combination - sweet chic, classy girlie, quirky cute, vintage whimsical, natural drama, flirty pop, dainty ethereal etc.
