My Astigmatism & Contacts

It is weird as far back as I can remember I have always had some problems with my sight because even before I had to wear glasses my right eye was always considered a lazy eye yet never gave me much problems though. I remember when I was 15 when hurricane Fan came through my area and I remember being out side when the winds picked up and under a tree at that. I remember looking up the tree and a branch coming down and scratching my left retina although at that moment last thing I was thinking bout was my eye I was trying to get inside due to the storm. When I followed up with a doctor they said that it did do some damage and that I had Astigmatism and should wear glasses which may one day help correct my eyes. So I tried glasses which I am pretty sure my doctor didn't know what he was doing cause my glasses were all wrong so I stopped wearing them for years until I went to get my license in 2006 and they told me my eye site was too bad. Went back to a doctor who told me I had the worst astigmatism that you can have oh wonderful I thought, so I got glasses. Although I have many times thought about getting Contact lenses I never have, I have tried non prescription ones and due to my astigmatism it is so hard to get Contact lenses into my eye as it is. So not sure I will ever get the luxury of wearing Contact lenses but would love to again try some especially some of the ones that are now made for astigmatism that would be great and not have to worry about my glasses anymore.
