Fire Safety in Your Home

I had a friend call me up tonight and we were talking about with her buying a new house and all some of the things she needed in her home. Now keep in mind this is her first home ever, she has always lived with her mom and dad and as soon as she got engaged this past year her and her fiance have set back money to buy a home. Well the day is here she found a home outside of town about a week ago and we were talking about safety things that needed to be around the home plus other things she had to have for the house. Well we mentioned fire alarms but I forgot about another important thing in the home so I had to call her back up to remind her she needed a couple CO2 fire extinguishers in her home for safety as well plus a house alarm would be great for safety measures as well. You know it is strange because not alot of people think they need anything more than a fire alarm for safety but forget the fire extinguisher all the time, me included yet they could save a life because if a fire breaks out in your home you may have to be the one to put out the fire because the fireman may just not get there in time. Plus what happens if your stuck in a room of the house and there is no way out whatsoever yet to go through the fire. ?That is where having one would come in handy big time. I told her she might want to get more than one of the CO2 fire extinguishers for her home in several parts of the house for the extra measure just in case what I mentioned above were to happen.
